Gulkula Mining is the first Indigenous-owned mining company in Australia. Established as a landmark venture in the heart of Yolŋu country, Gulkula Mining exemplifies sustainable resource management and economic self-sufficiency for the Indigenous community of North East Arnhem Land. 

Gulkula Civil manages the quarry at Gunyangara, concrete services, crushing with future expansion to maintenance, design and construction of arterial roads.

Gulkula meaning

In Yolŋu, Gulkula is a special, spiritually significant place connected to the Dreamtime and the site of the first Garma festival. Naming our brand "Gulkula" highlights our spiritual heritage, cultural events, and natural resource management.
